Hey there! I’m Seleka Kerr, and my life’s adventures have brought me to the exciting world of real estate. I hail from the lovely state of New Jersey, but in 2002, I made a bold decision to embrace the sunny skies of Florida, and I’ve never looked back since! The warmth of the sun here has truly captured my heart and made it my forever home.
As a middle school English teacher back in 2003, one of the most enjoyable projects I assigned to my students was the “house-building” exercise. This allowed them to explore the exciting notion of constructing their dream homes in various cities, while also learning about affordability in different locations. It was evident from my love for searching home listings and watching real estate shows that I had a deep passion for the industry, and my husband quickly noticed. Following his suggestion, I obtained my license in 2017 and haven’t looked back since! I use my personal experience of having relocated to Florida in 2002 and my own home buying wins and losses as the foundation of how I serve my customers. I lived through two foreclosures in the 2008 crash of the housing market and that taught me so much about what not to do and to ensure my customers make informed decisions! I keep my customers long after the buying or selling is over with annual meetings regarding safeguarding their wealth position, what to do with their equity and keeping on top of scheduled maintenance and anything else they need in between.
